Normoss Round Table brings Christmas cheer

Christmas is a time of joy and rejoicing but, for the unlucky few, the festive period will be spent in Blackpool Victoria Hospital’s children’s A & E department.

Members of Normoss Round Table Lodge No 8741, who meet at Cleveleys Masonic Hall, recently visited the hospital to donate over 150 presents to be distributed to the children. This has become an annual visit from the lodge whose master Alan Berwick was in attendance, together with the chairman of the North Fylde Group Duncan Smith.

The presents were donated by lodge members, together with their families and friends who had attended a recent Christmas Sunday dinner. Likewise, presents were gratefully received from students and staff at Great Arley School in Thornton and from the local branch of Morrisons.

Anyone wishing to donate to the hospital, raise funds or volunteer can contact the Blue Skies Hospital Fund at http://www.bfwh.nhs.uk/blueskies/index.php/contact or find them on Facebook.
